Ana Maria de Almeida is an Associate Professor (with Habilitation) at the Information Sciences and Technologies Department, ISCTE Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Portugal. Her research interests and track record include Algorithmics, Complexity, Automated Reasoning, Machine Learning and Data Science, with her current work focusing on adaptative Machine Learning and Responsible AI. She is the Coordinator of the ISTAR_Iscte Software Systems Engineering Research Group and, as a researcher for ISTAR_Iscte and CISUC research centers, she has participated, as investigator and also as task coordinator, in fundamental and in applied research projects and research & innovation projects between academia and industry, both at national as well as international levels. She has experience in organizing international scientific conferences, scientific events, and scientific public dissemination.
